CNC milling

Our CNC milling center is equipped with high-quality CNC milling machines for the optimal processing of all our foam materials. Our machine park includes 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines, enabling us to fulfill every customer request.

3-axis milling cutter:

Our 3-axis milling machines enable precise CNC milling of foam materials. Our design department will be happy to assist you in creating suitable data sets.

 

Parallel processing of multiple items reduces throughput times and costs, enabling even large orders to be fulfilled promptly. Ideal for the production of high-quality case inserts for industrial and consumer products.

5-axis milling machine:

Our 5-axis milling machine is also capable of processing soft foams. The additional swivel and rotation axes allow the foam to be processed from all sides. Thanks to 5-axis simultaneous machining, the formation of complex undercuts is no problem.

 

This means that even complex orthopedic seat shells can be manufactured in detail without having to re-clamp the workpiece. Thanks to the large clamping surface, even protruding products are no obstacle. Tool changes take place automatically during machining—this high degree of variability enables us to achieve efficient production times.

Shape cutting - Compression cutting

The form cutting process is used for the plastic, three-dimensional shaping of PUR flexible foams. Complex organic bodies can be cut from the foam by pressing it into individually manufactured molds and cutting it above these.


In our design department, we develop special molds for you, which are milled from a wooden blank with precision down to the last detail. These molds, which are manufactured on site, enable us to guarantee optimally coordinated processes and the shortest possible service channels.

 

Processing on one of our shape cutting machines requires a great deal of experience and sensitivity - working with soft foam is precision work.

Vertical & horizontal cutting

Precision cutting and splitting of foam sheets for almost 50 years.

 

With our machinery specialized in foam, splitting the more than 150 foam grades from our warehouse is a breeze.

Lamination

All our materials can be laminated or bonded to other foams in a durable and load-bearing manner. This enables us to manufacture products from multiple materials.

 

This is achieved using high-quality adhesive film, which ensures outstanding adhesion. Double-sided and/or self-adhesive finishes are also possible.

Contour cutting

Laser engraving

All materials processed by us can be individually inscribed or marked using our engraving lasers. Compared to conventional printing methods, our laser engraving offers significantly longer durability.

CNC plotting - cutting plotter

Our high-performance industrial plotters can cut plots and shapes from a wide range of materials, such as triplex, cardboard, and foam. A large processing area opens up a variety of sophisticated options for creating your product according to your wishes.

PUR foaming – Polyprotect®

With the customized solutions offered by our Polyprotect® coating, we meet the highest standards for a wide variety of applications. The shape-bound process allows us to create detailed 3D geometries and customized solutions with great precision. The foam can also be combined with other materials and components (GRP, metals, plastics, etc.)

 

The Polyprotect® system is a special polyurethane-based molding technique. We encase the inner core with a highly durable & flexible surface. The solvent- and plasticizer-free closed-cell outer shell is suitable for medical use, as its biological compatibility has been verified in accordance with EN ISO 10993-5:2009. A major advantage of Polyprotect® is the choice of foam hardness, which we offer from “very hard” to “soft.” The outstanding hygienic properties of the surface prove extremely useful for cleaning and disinfection.

Profile cutting - Knob cutting

We use our profile cutting machines to produce dimpled foam and pyramid foam in sheet form. Our dimpled sheets provide direct noise insulation, effective vibration damping, and shock absorption. For example, we use our pyramid foam to reduce noise and vibration levels in our production halls.

 

Profile-cut sheets are ideal for lining suitcase lids and boxes – we make it possible to transport your products safely!

Foam welding

Heating, melting, and bonding foams without adhesive: no problem with our welding machines!


surface welding

Surface welding enables manufacturing at depths that our milling machines and water jets cannot reach. For example, complex inserts can be milled in several layers and joined together using automatic surface welding machines.

 

Our machines use large heating plates to melt the surface of the foam and then transfer the heated blank to a second cut. Once both parts fit together perfectly, the foam cools down and is bonded together without the use of adhesive.

 

 

ultrasonic welding

Practical, precise, accurate: our ultrasonic welding devices use mechanical vibrations & pressure to join two materials together in seconds. The quality of the weld points is characterized by precise control technology, which ensures reproducible and attractive results.

 

Ultrasonic welding is particularly environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and produces neither waste materials nor consume additional aids or materials.

 

Bevel cutting

When cutting at an angle, knives suitable for the respective type of foam are clamped at the desired angle, for example to cut off the corners of suitcase inserts. Inserts adapted in this way with angled corners fit perfectly into the suitcase and do not need to be pressed into their final position.

 

This means no distorted shapes and easy, clean handling of your products!

PUR coating - Skinfoam

We use the Skinfoam coating to refine products for clinical applications, such as patient positioning aids. A wide variety of customer designs can be produced, in some cases even without additional tools or fixtures. The Skinfoam coating is applied to the foam by hand by experienced employees. This creates a surface that is easy to disinfect and skin-friendly, and also complies with MDR standards.

Die cutting

Our precise automatic punching machines enable us to produce large quantities cost-effectively. Using punching tools designed specifically for your requirements, which we manufacture in-house, we cut your products out of the foam blanks under high pressure. Multi-layer punching enables short machine times even for complex shapes.


Thanks to the various types of machines in our machine park, we are able to process polyethylene and polyurethane in different thicknesses.

Thermoforming – Embossing

This special manufacturing process allows thermoplastic polyethylene foams to be processed under pressure and heat into high-quality, durable products that are particularly suitable for medical applications. Other components, such as electronic components for MRI applications, can also be encased in this way. This production process is also ideal for manufacturing shock- or heat-absorbing products.

copy cutting

This contour cutting machine is a CNC-controlled 3-axis machine that works with a rotating cutting tool. This process guarantees dust-free cutting of contour parts of any two-dimensional or special three-dimensional shapes.

Sealing

After removing any milling residue from the products using compressed air, we seal their surface with hot air. This closes the pores on the surface of the foam, making it more resistant to stains.

 

The result is not only a more sustainable product due to its increased durability, but also a more vibrant color.

water jet cutter

Our waterjet cutters are particularly well suited for products with recesses or complex shapes. Our cutting systems are capable of precisely following even the tightest contours and achieving an accurate cut.

 

Multi-layer processing is possible thanks to the special adjustment of the water pressure.

 

On our four-head water jet system, we can even produce 4 plates in parallel, which means that larger runs require short turnaround times. We can also offer you small quantities at low cost, as water jet cutting does not require tools to be resharpened or molds to be made.
